For example, many cartel members in Colombia hail Pablo Escobar as a narco-saint. The Catholic Church has condemned the worship of narco-saints.

It enables the co-operation of leading oil-producing countries in order to collectively influence the global oil market and maximize profit. Countries in OPEC include Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, Libya, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Nigeria, Gabon, Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Congo. Other countries that are not in OPEC also produce oil, such as Ecuador, Indonesia and Qatar.
